Susan's work has been published in Boys' Quest, Ladybug, Your Big Backyard, and Turtle Magazine. SCARY-O-TYPED! is her first picture book. It's published through Howlo House (2023). Susan is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and the Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and two howling hounds. She believes in being yourself, being nice to others, and having fun...especially on HALLOWEEN.

Hanna Smith -- Illustrator

Hanna is an artist and the illustrator of her debut picture book, SCARY-O-TYPED! She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and the Adams School of Dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her husband and springy Carolina dog. She loves to dress up for Halloween and believes no outfit is complete without a smile.
